Health Records and Written Puppy Agreements

Health terms are specific to the breeder or rescue and the written agreement. Little Trail Range does not issue a blanket two-year health guarantee for animals listed by others.

Questions before committing

• What veterinary examinations and age-appropriate vaccinations are documented?
• What tests relevant to the parents and breed are available, and what do the results mean?
• What conditions, time periods, exclusions, responsibilities and remedies does the written contract state?
• When should your own veterinarian examine the puppy after arrival?

Ask a veterinarian to help interpret records and health information. A screening note, registration document, coat description or price is not a health certification.
